Activity Devices for Healthy Choice

An activity tracker is a wearable device or app, used for tracking daily physical activity.

View your Personal Program Requirements to learn if tracking physical activity is a requirement for your participation. If it is, you can achieve your goal by tracking your steps or activity minutes.

Next, link your activity device to your portal account. Your daily steps and activity minutes will be shared with the portal and will display on your portal dashboard.

You are responsible for confirming that your steps or activity minutes are uploading to your Healthy Choice portal account. Login at least once per week to ensure your data is syncing accurately and to identify possible technical issues which may affect your participation.

A one-time $60 credit is available in the portal to use toward the purchase of an activity device. Only one credit can be used per member and is not transferable to other members. Log into your portal and select “Device Store” to learn more.

Which devices are compatible with the Healthy Choice portal?

The Healthy Choice portal is powered by our wellness partner, Motion Connected. The portal is directly integrated with Fitbit and most Garmin devices, making it easy to link those devices directly to your portal account. The EHP Healthy Choice app allows you to link to Google Fit or the Apple Health Kit (including Apple Watch). You can also link directly to Fitbit and Garmin from the app.

Some other devices may be compatible. Contact us for questions related to any devices not listed here.

Fitbit and Garmin devices available in the Device Store

Fitbit and Garmin devices are the only brands of devices available in the Device Store. To compare devices and view possible discounts, log in to your Healthy Choice portal and select “Device Store” from the menu. All devices in the Device Store are compatible with the Healthy Choice portal, as well as other Fitbit and Garmin devices purchased elsewhere.

All health plan members have a one-time credit in their portal to use toward the purchase of an activity device. Members are responsible for the cost to replace or upgrade devices after the credit has been used.

NOTE: "Active Minutes" are calculated when your device shows activity of a moderate or greater intensity that lasts at least 10 consecutive minutes without stopping. For the average user this translates to their device recording approximately 75 steps per minute or greater for 10+ minutes.  The Healthy Choice portal does not receive any other events from your device’s data system. This is because not every device tracks additional data events, making it unavailable to our system at this time.
